I couldn't get any fresh vegetables today from the supermarket.
Do not want to compromise with those leftover vegetables that don't look fresh & beautiful. So decided to make use of whatever ingredients I have at home to come out with at least a simple vegetable dish for dinner ^_^

Simple dish, simple ingredients: mushrooms, carrots, green peas & qi zi.
Carrots are well cooked with the crunchiness still there ^_^

Braised Mushrooms (Vegetarian)

Giant supermarket was having promotions for the shiitake mushrooms & enoki (golden needle) mushrooms last week. Not only were the mushrooms selling at super low prices, they are very fresh too! So I decided to buy some to start my cooking engine again!

This is a 100% vegetarian dish because vegetarian sauce is used. This is the 1st time I used vegetarian sauce. Saw it from the shelf while shopping for groceries, so decided to buy & give it a try.

I added some carrots to enhance the sweetness & some ginger slices too. Just a simple dish with the available ingredients & sauces I can find at home.

This is one of my favourite dishes ^_^
The past few times I prepared this dish, I added chicken wings as well.
